| Description: | Responsible for the activities of the dietary department. Plans and directs department to deliver quality food to all areas of college in a timely, cost effective manner. Maintains an effective working relationship with college administration and other departments. Plans and coordinates the obtainment of fiscal goals and subsequent budget development. Responsible for cafeteria, catering (on and off site), and vending. |
| Duties: | 1.Effectively deals with all aspect of staff including management team members. Administers in a timely manner all required administrative tasks relating to staff.
2. Establishes and maintains a productive relationship with other departments throughout facility.
3.Meets or exceeds financial goals as established for department including managing charges to other departments resulting from catering and supply stock.
4.Participates and supports internal activities of facility by attending required management meetings and participating on committees.
5.Ensures the delivery of safe, wholesome and nutritious meals to all students, staff and guests of the facility.
6.Completes administrative reporting tasks on a timely basis.
7.Provides a clean, organized, sanitary and mechanically sound department for staff members to work in.
8.Provides continuing education for all staff members.

| Qualifications: | Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1.Must have basic knowledge of food sanitation, knowledge of quality food service and equipment.
2.Current Food Handler Card obtained within 6 months of employment or equivalent as approved by city.
3.Must demonstrate fundamentally sound culinary and sanitation work habits.
Minimal Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1.Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
2.Must be able to follow instruction to complete tasks.
3.Must have basic computer skills.
