Description:The Manager Trainee Position is responsible for assisting the Facility Manager in successfully coordinating and managing all of the Facility Management Departments. The success of the Facility Management Department is determined by client satisfaction, internal and external customer satisfaction results, quality measures, and regulatory compliance inspections. The Manager Trainee will be a part of the Facility Management Leadership Team and participate in all Facility Management Departments/Functions.

A manager trainee is expected to be able to demonstrate operational competency in each of our core departments and eventually (through training and experience) be able to manage or supervise one or more of those departments. Relocation to another facility/state may be required. Our core departments at this location are: Environmental Services, Plant Operations & Maintenance, Clinical Engineering, Security/Service Support, Construction/Project Management, Physical Environment/Safety, Facility Management. This will be accomplished by working/training in each of those departments and physically performing the duties/tasks required of each position in the department. The next step will be to perform supervisory/management functions as assigned by the General Manager or Department Manager. Some of these tasks may include such activities as: supervising hourly and management staff, project management, regulatory compliance documentation and inspections, committee participation and leadership, ordering supplies, preparing budgets, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, etc…
Duties:• Leads by example. Represents VRI and the Client in a positive, ethical, and professional manner. Always demonstrates VRI Core Values (integrity, commitment, service, performance excellence, teamwork) and the clients CARES Values (compassion, attitude, respect, excellence, service). Understands and demonstrates the understanding of our customer service expectations.

• Promotes Teamwork within the Facility Management Departments, coaches and counsels employees as needed.

• Demonstrates the ability to follow and develop policies and procedures.

• Learns and understands the regulatory compliance requirements and operational requirements for POM, EVS, Security, Biomed, Construction Mgmt, PE/Safety, FM. Demonstrates the ability to manage or supervise these departments.

• Learns and develops leadership skills, demonstrates the ability to lead others and make critical decisions.

• Demonstrates the ability to utilize the computerized maintenance management program.

• Demonstrates the ability to develop quality, accurate, and timely reports, presentations, spreadsheets, etc.

• Demonstrates the ability to develop department operational and capital budgets.

• Demonstrates the ability to perform quality and regulatory inspections.

• Demonstrates the ability to properly manage departmental supplies and inventory.

• Promotes safety within the workplace.
Qualifications:Previous experience or degrees in management, hospitality, engineering, construction, or any of our service lines is preferred.

Canidates must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Must be able to handle fast paced, possible high stress work environment.
